I love how clean and white it looks when it’s just snowed. And most importantly, I like the sense of “rest” that it gives… that the plants have all gone dormant, the animals have burrowed deep into the earth…
And it really makes me appreciate the other seasons all that much more. Especially spring, which is like a reawakening.
Yes, it can be a real pain in the patoot too, but overall, I like winter. Plus one of my babies was born in winter so it reminds me of nights spent up with him, feeding him and rocking him, looking at the moonlight lighting up the snowy landscape.
Aaaaanyway, I didn’t mean to make this about me, lol.
I’m glad you all got to enjoy some of the winter wonderland. 🙂 D has gotten so BIG!

P.S. your gift basket goods are fantastic. I really love the candy canes… that’s a terrific cutter.

My school closed due to a power failure, so I baked and decorated mitten and snowflake cookies in honor of the first “snow day” I have ever spent as a teacher!
